President’s Message

“A group in itself does not necessarily constitute a team. Teams normally have members with complementary skills and generate synergy through a coordinated effort which allows each member to maximize his or her strengths and minimize his or her weaknesses.”

Not a day goes by without each and every one of us contributing to a team. Whether it takes form at home with our families, at work with our colleagues or on a larger scale as a contributing member of society, we are all part of a team. We begin to teach the concept of team work to our children at a very early age in which Little League has played a dynamic role for many children over the years. As team members we learn about communication, trust, commitment, support, encouragement, adapting, winning and losing. When I attend Perth & District Little League games, teams are all around me. I see the team of kids playing so hard to win the game, the team of cheerleading parents and the team of volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the season to teach these values. This season will be no exception with the unlimited lessons each team will learn from the other.

I am honored to be part of the Perth & District Little League team and invite you and your family to join us for what promises to be another fun filled season.
